Overview
Denial of Service (DoS) and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) are attacks designed to make a machine, network, or service unavailable to its intended users. This is typically achieved by flooding the target with superfluous requests or exploiting vulnerabilities to exhaust its resources—such as CPU, memory, network bandwidth.
